Toffee Tongue fighting for her Caulfield Cup spot

Toffee Tongue didn't make it easy for stable mate Verry Elleegant in Saturdays Group 1 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington. She fought to the line for a second, being a 70-1 outsider she proved she's more than capable to take on the Group 1 Caulfield Cup in two weeks time. Chris Waller said "Toffee Tongue was brilliant. That was her first run in that sort of company and she was as brave as anything"

Toffee Tongue has been runner up in two Group 1's and a Group 3 as well as her phenomenal win in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville in May this year.

Toffee Tongue was a $500,000 NZB Karaka yearling in Highden Parks Premier draft, out of resident Broodmare Bagalollies, by Tavistock. She sold to Dean Hawthorne for Pinecliff Racing, trained by Chris Waller, based at his Flemington Stable.
